They soon noticed that it was very difficult to restart cars after 6 months of storage. The lubricant became acidic when reacting to the humidity in air, causing piston rings to stick. Additives made this problem worse, so the idea to inject a soft resin to protect the metallic parts was born. The only possible solution was to create a miscible but non soluble component for the oil.
The solution was found after three years of research. At 43°Celsius, A9 Technology flocculates in the oil and forms a Remnant Film measuring 0.1 micron, thus providing extreme resistance against friction. The effect was seen immediately in those classic collector`s cars which started without problems and ran more effectively than before.
